How It Works

This meme generator draws your image onto an HTML <canvas> and overlays your captions using the bold, condensed Impact font with a thick contrasting outline — the look that defines classic internet memes. Because everything is rendered locally with JavaScript, your images are never uploaded to a server: the whole process is private, instant and works offline.

Type into the Top text and Bottom text fields and the caption updates live. Each caption is centered by default, but you can drag it anywhere on the image for free positioning. Fine-tune the font size, outline thickness and colors to taste, then click Download PNG to save a high-resolution copy at the image's original dimensions.
